Melodie Ann Grey, age 77, of Pensacola, went to her eternal home on Monday, February 12, 2024.

Melodie was born in Staples, MN to the late James and Jermain Roth Monley on February 5, 1947.  The family moved around in her youth with her father's job, but they finally settled in the south. After high school, Melodie spent some time in California and Ohio before settling in Pensacola with her daughter, Molly. In 1988 she married Rich Grey and had the opportunity to live overseas in Naples, Italy as part of Rich's Naval assignment. She loved the opportunity to travel to England, Germany, and Switzerland while living in Italy. Melodie never met a stranger that would not become a friend within five minutes of knowing her and she would go out of her way to help someone in need. Her favorite hobbies were spending time with friends and reading. Melodie was a diehard college football fan, most especially she loved Florida State and Alabama. However, above her love for college football, she adored her two granddaughters, Ava and Reagan. She lived her life full of love and devotion, as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was loved dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Lance Monley.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her husband, Rich Grey, of Pensacola, FL; her daughter, Molly Homec (Jason), of Colorado Springs, CO; her two granddaughters, Ava and Reagan Homec; and her brother, James Monley (Charlotte), of Kalispell, MT.

A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Mike Mashburn, officiating.

Her cremated remains will be laid to rest in Colorado Springs, CO.
