Melody Ann Youngstrom Spink, 72, of Milton, FL passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023.

Melody was born on November 4, 1951, in Pensacola, FL to Vera E. and William E. Youngstrom. A graduate of Escambia High School, she worked with The Department of Children Services and in the law office of M. J. Menge. To know Melody was to love her and to be loved by her. She lived life to the fullest and will be missed by all who knew her. Family and friendships were her valued treasures, along with her dog Jip. Melody loved a good melody, both listening to and singing her favorite songs. She spent many hours crafting: ceramics, soap making, and jewelry making.

Melody is preceded in death by her parents, Vera and William Youngstrom; as well as her husband, James Edward Spink, Jr.

Survivors include her brother, James R. Youngstrom (Fran) of Pensacola; two sisters, Janet J. Cameron of Pensacola and Faith M. Pearcey of Sevierville, TN; six nephews and two nieces, all of whom loved their "crazy Aunt Mel;" as well as her cousin and very best friend, R. Larry Morris.

Visitation will be held 5:00pm until a Memorial Service begins at 6:00pm Friday, December 15, 2023, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Jamie Sanders officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Friary, or to Santa Rosa County Animal Services, or a charity to help the Homeless.

The family would like to thank Santa Rosa Health and Rehabilitation Center, Vitas Health Care, and Melody's group of close friends for their vigilant and tender care.
