Melvin Douglas "Doug" Moore, 72, of Pensacola, FL passed away Monday, March 9, 2026.

Doug was born on April 15, 1953, in Pensacola, FL. He graduated from Escambia High School in 1971. Doug got his Captains license and worked many years in the maritime industry and ultimately retired.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Wanda Moore.

Survivors include his son, Bryce Moore; daughter, Elizabeth Moore; as well as his four sisters, Dona Parish, Dee Moore, Deana Moore, and Denice Potter; four Nieces, Megan Boomsma, Kellea Sims, Brittney Violette, Lauren Pleitz; also seven great nephews and three great nieces.

Private services will be observed.
