Merion B. (Moore) Taylor was called away to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 3:15pm surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born to Mark Moore and Willie B. (Cannon) Edwards on April 14, 1926. Mrs. Taylor was married on December 22, 1945 to Howard L. Taylor, a marriage of 53 ½ years. She was a member of Heights Baptist Church, Florida #9, Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Taylor retired from the City of Pensacola after 34 years of service.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter, Cynthia Ann.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her sister, Jo Ann Maxwell; niece, Patricia Ann Shiver (Paul) ; great nephews, Jordan J. Shiver (Nichole), Sean Shiver (Deby); great great niece, Makayla, great great nephew Tydun Jay and many beloved friends.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, followed by the Order of Eastern Star Service will start at 6:30pm until 7:00pm.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am Wednesday September 6, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Nott officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be Deacons of Heights Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Heights Baptist Church, 600 Pickens Ave., Pensacola, FL 2503.
