Merlin Duane Morin, 71, of Pensacola, FL passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015. Merlin was born on September 25, 1943 in Belcourt, ND. He served in the Navy for 26 1/2 years and retired as a Master Chief Petty Officer. He then worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 9 years before fully retiring. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Broxson Morin; his brothers, Gordon James, Dennis Wayne, Clifford Gene and Terry Lee; as well as his sisters, Gaylene Ann and Carol Agnes. He leaves behind several children, stepchildren, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Merlin was a loving, wonderful man who was always there for his dear wife, Barbara. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. Please join us as we remember Merlin with a Memorial Service at 3:00pm on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Committal of ashes will be at Barrancas National Cemetery.
