Michael Edward Brown, a long time resident of Pensacola died from natural causes on March 26, 2015. He was just 54 years old. Michael is the son of Carlotta Ferguson Brown, deceased, and Walter Frank Brown, also a long time resident of Pensacola FL. He was born in Bethesda Naval Hospital on October 18, 1960 while his father was serving as a naval officer in Washington DC. In 1961, Michael's family moved back to New Jersey, near where Carlotta and Walter had been raised. Michael attended public schools until graduating from Mahwah High School in northern New Jersey. He attended nearby Ramapo College for two years, receiving an Associate degree. Upon the death of his mother shortly thereafter, Michael moved to Pensacola to be near his father and younger sister Sharon. There he worked in several venues for almost thirty years, the first being a counselor at Lakeview Center and the last being branch manager for an independent staffing firm. In recent years Michael served as a volunteer at Habitat for Humanity. Michael leaves behind a family of four; his wife of nearly fifteen years, Catherine; his daughter, Emily who resides in Minneapolis; his son, Ryan who resides in Pensacola and his step son, Anthony Garrett who resides in Louisiana. A reception for Michael's friends and family will be held at 5Eleven Palafox Event Center on Monday, April 6, 2015 beginning at 5:00pm.
