IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Glennon
Dugan
August 18, 1948 – December 7, 2020
Michael G. Dugan, age 72, of Pensacola, Florida died Monday, December 7 at West Florida Hospital.
Mike was born on August 18, 1948 in Cairo, Illinois to James Glennon and Ovie Ogborn Dugan.
He grew up in Mississippi County, Missouri and graduated in 1966 from Charleston High School. He then attended Southeast Missouri State University, graduating in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degrees in biology and agriculture.
On December 26, 1970, he was united in a long and happy marriage to Deborah Coots of Dogwood, Missouri, who survives of the home.
Mike began his career as a sales representative with Helena Chemical Company. After four years, he became a company representative for Monsanto, where he was named a "Master Salesman" and was employed for 28 years until his retirement. Unable (and unwilling) to remain idle, Mike then worked for Agri AFC for 14 years. He served his neighbors as president of Romana Lofts Centre Homeowners Association.
Mike was a friendly, caring, and jolly man who made friends instantly. He was easy to laugh and always had time for a friend, no matter what. As one lifelong friend remarked, "Everybody loves Mike." His highest achievements were as a husband, father, grandfather, and brother. The world was much more fun when Mike was in it and he will be sorely and painfully missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C.T. Coots.
Mike and Debbie are the parents of two sons, Jason (Tammy) of Greenwood, Missouri and Shawn of Pensacola, Florida. They are the grandparents of Rebecca, J.D., and Kyle Dugan. He is also survived by a brother, Mark Dugan (Rebecca) and a brother-in-law, Dewayne Coots (Sharon).
A private family memorial service will be held.
