Obituary

Michele Mock, age 80, of Pensacola, FL, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. Michele was born in Weymouth, MA to the late Frank and Anna Langford Miller, Sr. In addition to her parent's, she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John G. Mock.

Michele was a loving sister and Aunt who was a devout member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Pensacola, FL. After her retirement, she volunteered to help at the church thrift shop. She attended St. Michaels/Pk Yonge elementary school and graduated from Pensacola High School.

Michele met her husband while working at his family's Photography and Portrait Studio in Pensacola, FL. She worked as a receptionist and he as the printer. From there, she became a Car Inspector/Car Sales Rep for Bob Salter Chevrolet of Pensacola, FL where she met a dear friend and his wife, continuing a friendship of 45 years. Leaving there, she and her husband worked for several print shop businesses. She eventually went on to retire from the University of West Florida's Print Shop, later taking on the job of caregiver for her husband due to his failing health.

As a sister, Michele was a best friend, confidant, laughing and shopping buddy, closing the stores on weekends. She loved music, dancing, eating out, going to the movies and spending time with family. Her passion and love also focused on the care of animals, especially cats, deeming the title, "Cat Lady" of her neighborhood. Her kind and giving heart also flowed over into family and friends by giving her time to tell great personal stories that you just couldn't make up. She will be truly missed by her family, friends and cat fur babies, Red-O, Nu-be, and Daisy.

We love you dearly, Michele, RIP.

Michele is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John G. Mock; mother, Anna Roberta Langford; and her father, Frank H. Miller.
