David Michael "Mike" Drake, 79, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

Mike was born on October 15, 1942, in Canton, NC to John Clinton and Flora West Drake. He graduated from Georgia State University in 1974. A genuinely self-made man, Mike worked his way from the offices of Gulf Oil to independent ownership of his own service stations in Jackson, MS and Pensacola, FL. His work there was his life's passion, and the vitality of his spirit and tireless work ethic are reflected in the legacy he passed on to his family. Mike enjoyed restoring old cars, cherished his '67 Mustang and '65 Thunderbird, as well as playing and watching sports.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Randy Drake.

Survivors include his two daughters, Lisa Drake McTyre of Mary Esther, FL and Karen Drake of Orlando, FL; a grandson, Garrison McTyre of Destin, FL; as well as his sister, Brenda Drake Penland of Canton, NC

Memorial Service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Chaplain Ken Griffin officiating.
