Mildred "Millie" Frances Matthews Engeman, 92, of Pensacola, FL passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013. Millie was born on September 23, 1921 in Peoria, IL to Raymond and Ethel Matthews. She was one of seven children, 4 girls and 3 boys. She married Robert Charles Engeman on June 15, 1941. Millie was a devoted military wife, full time mom and proud grandma. She moved to Pensacola in the 1980's. Millie was a longtime active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and former member of Sweet Adelines. She loved God, her family, her friends, music and Alabama football. She was an inspiration to many because she remained active even though both hearing and sight were impaired the last 20 years of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband and all 6 of her siblings. Survivors include her daughter, Karen Engeman Hall (Dr. Randy Hall); grandson, Jeremy Hall (Ashley Brannon) and granddaughter, Olivia Hall. Memorial Service will be held 11:00am Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Trinity Presbyterian Church with Dr. Hugh Hamilton and Rev. Anghaarad Teague Dees officiating. Committal will be held at a later date at Barrancas National Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to Frankie, Linda, Jeannie and Virginia for taking such great care of her.
