Miriam Keba "Pie" Arnold of Pensacola and Gulf Breeze, born September 5, 1927, passed away quietly on June 28th, 2024, surrounded by friends and family.
She graduated from Florida State University with both BS and MS degrees in Education. Pie dedicated her life to education, serving as a teacher at Pensacola High School before becoming the Dean of Students and later the Director of Vocational Education for Escambia County. She also spent time teaching at Pensacola Junior College's adult high school program. She was a lifelong FSU Seminole fan and cherished her alma mater deeply.
Pie loved the beach, Mardi Gras and Fiesta activities, and her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Pauline Campbell; her husband, Cecil Arnold; her sisters, Marie Cumby and Ouita Barrineau; her brother, Norman Campbell; son, Wallace Arnold; and her great-grandchild, Madelyn McGuire.
She is survived by her daughter, Cyndi (Clyde) Jolly; her son, Duaine (Carolyn) Arnold; her grandchildren, Valerie McGuire, Leslie Gunn (Michael), Terri DuFour (Chris), Jeffrey Jolly (Manon), Nicholas Arnold, Emily Arnold, and Jayme Arnold, as well as 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A Memorial Service will be held on 10:00am Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church, 100 Andrew Jackson Trail, Gulf Breeze, FL 32561.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church.
