Monica O'Dea, of Pensacola Florida, passed away in her home on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. She was born to Daniel and Patricia Campbell in Rochester New York, July 25, 1963. She graduated from Elba Central School in 1981 and moved to Pensacola in 1982 where she met her husband Stephen O'Dea. They were married on April 15 th , 1983. After her husband's 20 year military career they retired in Pensacola Florida.
Monica will always be remembered for her kind and generous nature to family, friends, and anyone in need. Monica loved reading and worked at her children's school library while they attended Village Elementary. She was a devoted military spouse and poured her life into her family. Monica loved the beach and all animals. She was most proud of being a grandmother, her grandchildren call her Gammy. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Stephen M. O'Dea; two daughters, Andrea Marie O'Dea and Katie Patricia Schultz(James); a niece, Nikki Mayo(Chris);two brother's, Maurice (Tammy) Campbell and Steven (Diane) Campbell; four grandchildren, Dakota Paige Schultz, Scarlett Jane Schultz, James Stephen Schultz, and Evelynn Grace Schultz. As per Monica's request in lieu of flowers and gifts please send donations to St Judes Children's Hospital or your local no-kill animal shelter. A private family Catholic Burial will be conducted at Barrancas National Cemetery.
