Muriel Elizabeth "Betsy" Tetlow, 65, of Pensacola passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015. Betsy is survived by her beloved companion, Jim Brady; her sons, Gordon M. Tetlow and wife, Pauline of San Diego, CA and Andrew C. Tetlow and wife, Marianne of Scottsdale, AZ, and many loving relatives. She adored her 3 granddaughters, Caroline, Anna and Robyn. She is preceded in death by her husband, Philip C. Tetlow and her parents, Willard L. Smith and Muriel B. Smith. Calling Pensacola home for over 30 years, Betsy nurtured roots throughout the community. Her meticulous nature came through in everything she touched, a trusted Paralegal with Linne Law, a board member for the Francis M. Weston Audubon Society and as a charter member of the West Florida Genealogical Society. A lifelong Birder, she enjoyed birds all over the world as well as simply sitting at her kitchen window watching the birdlife in her own backyard. The wife of a Naval Officer, she traveled extensively building friendships along each path taken. Betsy kept abreast of all that was going on with friends and family, near and far. She will be remembered for seeking the good in people and the world, a caring nature and giving of herself to help those experiencing difficult times. But mostly, Betsy will be remembered and cherished for the happy times filled with laughter and warm conversation we had the fortune to share. A Memorial service will be held at 10:00am Saturday, April 11, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church, Pensacola. A private inurnment will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola. The family wishes to thank Dr. Owera, Dr. Ahmed, Acupuncturist Mike Kovach and the nurses and staff at the Woodlands for giving us more time with her. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Francis M. Weston Audubon Society, P. O. Box 17484; Pensacola, FL 32522 or to a favorite charity.
