Murray James Edwards, age 83, of Pensacola, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 in Pensacola, FL. Murray was born in Peterborough, Ontario Canada, to the late Earl and Etta Bolton Edwards on December 18, 1936. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his nephew, Stephen Blake.

Murray was a loving father and grandfather who was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He had a very keen sense of wit even up until the last moments of his life. He never met a stranger and everyone he came in contact with loved him. His honest straight shooting style was obvious from the moment you met him.  Murray was a self made entrepreneur and a long term employee of Avis.  He was an avid golfer and loved to spend time traveling.  He loved his family and his animals above all and cherished spending his time with them. He was a member of the 557 Moose Lodge in Pensacola where he enjoyed the camaraderie within the lodge. Murray once won an award for "Best in Class" Belly dancing.

Those left to cherish his memory include, a sister, Donna Blake, of Canada; two daughters, Katherine Joseph (William), of Florida, Suzanne Joseph (Michael), of Florida; a grandson, Michael Gutierrez, of Florida; a great grandson, Reed Klein, of Florida; two nieces, Janice Blake and Cinda Graham, both of Canada; two nephews, Steve  Graham and Paul Graham, both of Canada.
