Nancy Scandone, 77, of Navarre, FL passed away peacefully Monday, April 29, 2013 in Pensacola, FL with her family by her side. She was born October 19, 1935 in the small lake town of Marion, Kansas to O.J. and Faye Allen. In 1955 she married her loving husband, Frank. They eventually relocated to Fort Walton Beach, FL and stayed to raise their family of four children. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother who had a strong work ethic and high standards of moral character through her tremendous love and caring. Nancy loved water coloring (especially ocean scenes), knitting and floral arranging. She was a member of St. Mary's and St. Sylvester's Catholic Churchs along with the Knights of Columbus, Woman's Auxiliary Council 4444. She was predeceased by her parents, O.J. and Faye Allen and her brother, Fred Allen. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Frank Scandone; daughter, Patti Scandone Brewer of Fort Walton Beach, FL; son, Michal Scandone and wife Cheryl of Tallahassee, FL; daughter, Joani Chase and husband Chris of Tallahassee, FL; daughter, Paula Scandone of New York, NY; grandchildren, Jeremy Brewer, Jennifer Miller and husband Steve, Shelby Chase, Kelly Scandone and Bradley Chase; and a great grandson, Tyler Miller. She is also survived by many other friends and family who love her, including niece, Coni Bratton and husband Larry of Cozad, NE and nephew, Maurice Allen of Topeka, KS. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at St. Sylvester's Catholic Church, 6464 Gulf Breeze Pkwy, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563.
