IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nancy Jeanne
Nolde
September 13, 1940 – August 25, 2020
Nancy Jeanne Findley Nolde died peacefully at home, surrounded by family on August 25, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jeanette and William Findley, her brothers William and Clark, and her husband of 50 years, Kenneth Nolde. Nancy is survived by her sister Donna (Findley) Ferguson, her children Kathleen (Patrick) Martin and Kevin (Jillian) Nolde, as well as her four grandsons Kevin B, Zachariah, Edison Trey, and Henry.
She was born on September 13, 1940, in South Miami, Florida. Nancy graduated from Miami High School and Florida State University. A former DODS teacher and eventual Corporate Trainer for Blue Cross and Blue Shield National Capital Region, she met her husband Kenneth while both were at Ramey Airfield in Puerto Rico. Nancy followed Ken to Japan and England until he retired from the Air Force, and then it was back to Miami, then Washington DC, and finally, Pensacola. She loved being close to her children and watching her grandsons grow up.
There is no simple way to describe the depth of this loss for her sister or her children. We are at once happy her physical suffering is done, but not sure how to manage in a world where she is not present.
In the last years, she was cared for by so many, including Dr. Jung Gorton, Dr. Amy Watson, Land Wilson, and Covenant Hospice. She will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery with her husband at a future date.
Instead of flowers, please donate in Nancy's name to a cause close to your heart.
