Neil "Leroy" Francis McMillan Jr, 57, born March 9, 1965, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.

Leroy, as he was known by his family and friends, was an eighth generation Pensacolian and a seventh-generation grandson of one of Pensacola's early founders, Don Manual Gonzalez.  He attended AK Suter Elementary and Pensacola High School.

Like so many of his family, he was an accomplished sailor and racer.  He followed that passion and his pursuit of his spiritual journey throughout his life.  Over the last dozen years, he would be seen with his favorite companion, Molly, his pet parrot.

He is survived by his mother, Robyn Young McGraw (Artie); his grandmother, Hattie Burks; his father Neil Francis McMillan Sr (Susan Owsley); ex-wife Ashley Gray Peryer; daughter, Dory Morgan McMillan; son, Angus Murphy McMillan IV; his brothers, Andrew McMillan (Meghan), Stuart McMillan (Marisa), and Blaise Boykin; sister, Sara Boykin; aunts, Virginia McMillan Poffenberger, Van McMillan Lee (Gary), Jill Berry, and Samantha Harrison; and uncle Alan McMillan (Gloria).  Leroy was blessed with many cousins and close friends including Todd Bryson, Jim Veal and Lee Crona (deceased).

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 3 to 5 PM, at Kingfisher Restaurant, 1500 Barrancas Ave, Pensacola, FL.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Heifer International.
