William "Neil" Graydon, 94, peacefully passed into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, May 21, 2020, nine days before celebrating his 95th birthday.
He left his beautiful bride of 67 years, Mary; his six children, Cecilia (Joe) Madden, Laurel Hill, Diane (Ron) Cocherell of Birmingham, AL, Neil, Jr. of Apopka, FL, Susan (Rick) Ratcliff of Jack's Creek, TN, Beverly Williams of Marianna, FL and Jim (Carol) Graydon of Pensacola; as well as 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren will also miss his funny wit!
Neil proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII and the Korean Conflict, continuing in Civil Service until he retired, keeping pilots safe in their bombers and supersonic jets. He loved fixing things, building things, growing things, and loving his family. He was a good neighbor and a very good friend.
Heartfelt thanks go to Summer Vista Assisted Living Facility, and to Emerald Coast Hospice for their care and loving kindness.
Due to our current constraints, there will be a private family service on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, Pensacola, FL. Interment will ultimately be at Barrancas National Cemetery.
Donations made to Emerald Coast Hospice in Neil's memory are appreciated.
