Clara Nell Vaughn, 86, of Pensacola, FL passed away, Thursday, February 11, 2021.

Nell was born and raised in Red Level, AL on a farm until moving to Pensacola where she met her husband of almost 50 years, Johnny. They met dancing and continued to dance through life together until her stroke at age 59. Until then she was active with her girlfriends and Johnny in bowling leagues, square dancing and generally enjoying their retirement. She was also very generous with her time by spending many hours watching her grandkids, Edwin, Dustin and Shawna. However, this was more of a joy than a chore and they each have their stories of special times with Grandma. She was loved greatly and will be sorely missed by all.

Nell is preceded in death by her husband, John R. Vaughn; parents, J.T. Williams and Hettie Blaire Caraway; siblings, Von Leach, Gene Williams and Perry Williams.

She is survived by her children, Tom Vaughn (Beverly), CeeCee Vaughn Forte (John); grandchildren, Edwin Vaughn Valen, Dustin Vaughn and Shawna Goodwin Medors and seven great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the family will have private services.
