Nicki Nick Dean Clark, 68 of Pensacola, passed away peacefully March 2, 2009 at the Joyce Goldenberg Hospice Inpatient Residence. He was born August 24, 1940, in Algona, IA. He was the eldest son of Homer and Ann Clark. Nick met the love of his life, Christine, in Milwaukee, WI, while attending college. Nick proudly served in the US Navy for twenty years. After retiring from the military he attended the University of West Florida and earned Masters Degrees in both Computer Science and Mathematics. He was an In-Service Engineer at Saufley Field until retirement in August, 2000. Nick had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. He was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church choir for thirty years. He performed in numerous musical productions with the Pensacola Little Theatre, Pensacola Junior College and the Senior Follies. He was also an avid golfer, craftsman and Green Bay Packer fanatic. Nick was a devoted husband, loving father, and a wonderful friend. He is preceded in death by both parents, younger brother Timothy, and nephew John Jr. His wife Christine, son Michael (Krista), daughter Bonnie Thomas (Gary), brother John (Charlene), niece Sabetha Mumm (AJ) and their children Andrew and Miranda, nephew Jason, niece Rachel, sister-in-law Virginia Clark, and special Aunt Jane and Uncle Bill Foth survive him. The Rosary will be prayed at 10am Monday, March 9, 2009 followed by a Memorial Mass at St. Pauls Catholic Church with Father Doug Halsema celebrant. Interment will follow immediately at Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Nick, please make a donation to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N. 12th Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32504.
