Norma L. Kirkland, 90, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Born on March 27, 1924 in Monongahela, PA to Edward Curtis and Bessie Caldwell Lenhart, Norma was the fourth of five children. She graduated high school in 1942 and the New York School of Nursing in 1944. She married Clarence Vivian Kirkland on April 5th, 1952. They moved to Birmingham, AL where they started a family. In 1959 they moved to Pensacola, FL where they lived for 56 years. Norma practiced nursing for over 30 years at Sacred Heart Hospital and the Escambia County Corrections Facility. She belonged to Trinity Presbyterian Church where she and Clarence were active volunteers. She and her husband were avid RV campers, traveling in all the Continental US states. They donated their time to their children's school activities and the Manna Food Bank and the Cloud 9 Ranch. Norma is survived by her three sons and their families; Jeff and Connie, Paul and Maggie and Dean and Debbie; her grandchildren, April, Ryan and James and a great grandchild, Austyn. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10am Friday, March 6, 2015 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Frank Beall officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that a donation be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
