Pamela Jean Chesser, 53, of Pensacola FL passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017 after four months of battling declining health caused by a stroke. Mrs. Chesser was born in Fulton, MO on February 11, 1964. Pam earned a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of West Florida and was influential in Pensacola healthcare for over 29 years - most recently as the Director of Risk Management at Santa Rosa Medical Center in Milton, FL and as a board member of the Live Well Partnership for a Healthy Community. She was also a founding member of the "Lakeview Ladies Group", a consultant for Families Count and an active member of the Association for Health Care Risk Management contributing numerous articles to ASHRM publications. Pam was a phenomenal cook, always learning new recipes, whose Low Country Seafood Boil was in great demand. She loved to not only travel but to extensively plan vacations and especially to get the absolute best deal in the process. She was an amazing wife and a wonderful mother who approached life with grace and compassion. Most of all, she was a blessing in the lives of all who knew her. Pam is survived by her husband, Preston; son, Will; parents, Otis and Nancy (Rose) Herring; siblings, Doug Herring of MO, Hope Farnow (Jason) of TN and Jennifer Brinkman (William Greer) of TN; thirteen nieces and nephews as well as her loving in-laws. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until the Funeral Service at 12noon on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
