Patricia Rose Carr Winter, 93, of Pensacola, FL passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013. Patricia was born in Bison, SD and grew up in Des Moines, IA. She worked for the Department of Agriculture during WWII in Washington, DC. Patricia married Ambrose John Winter on February 17, 1947 at Eglin Field. She enjoyed playing the organ and volunteering at Sacred Heart Hospital. Patricia resided at Wesley Haven Villa. She is preceded in death by her husband; her sister, Mary Carr Moose and her brother, John Patrick Carr. Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Winter Mitchell (John) of Gulf Breeze, FL; son, William Carr Winter (Kathryn) of Pensacola Beach, FL; son, Walter John Winter (Judith) of Gulf Breeze, FL; daughter, Mary Winter Conway (Charles) of Deatsville, AL; daughter, Kathleen Mary Winter of Gulf Breeze, FL; as well as 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; 2 nieces, Pat Henning and Peg Wooten of Pensacola, FL; and 1 nephew, Patrick Carr of Lake Ozark, MO. Visitation will be held 10:00am until a Memorial Service to begin at 11:00am Friday, March 22, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Committal of ashes will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities, 1815 N. 6th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32503.
