Obituary

Patricia Howes Fell Knowles passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia was born in Jackson, MS on August 2, 1925. She was raised with her younger sister, Edith, in Forest, MS and her older sister, Elizabeth. She attended Ole Miss where she met her first husband, Craig Howes, and became a lifelong educator. They married and had three children.

Patricia enjoyed an adventurous life having lived in numerous states including a move to Kuwait where she taught at the American School of Kuwait for twelve years. Wherever she moved she always made a loving home. Her final years were spent at Azalea Trace in Pensacola, FL.

Patricia loved to nurture her family through her cooking, even including a cookbook of family recipes. She especially looked forward to the family gatherings each year at Thanksgiving which she hosted. Patricia was dearly loved and cherished by her 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and extended families. Patricia was a member of McIlwain Presbyterian Church and an active member of PEO.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lillie and Patrick McLaughlin of Forest, MS; husband, Craig Howes; second husband, George Fell; and third husband, Ralph Knowles.

Patricia is survived by her three children, Kirke (Pam) Howes of Mississippi, Carol Davis of Sandersville, MS, and Gayle Keels of Germantown, TN.

A visitation was held at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, followed by a graveside service at Bayview Memorial Park in Pensacola, FL.
