Patricia "Trish" Joanne Taff Glass, 54, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 after a long illness. She was born on May 10, 1959 at Station Hospital, Submarine Base Groton CT and spent her youth as a "Navy Brat," moving around the country and the world with her family. Trish attended the American Community School, Knightsbridge, London and North Kitsap Senior High School in Poulsbo, Washington. She married David Glass on June 6, 1987 in San Diego, CA. They soon relocated to Pensacola, FL and began building their family. Trish focused on raising her daughters from little girls into very successful young women. She was a very active volunteer at St. Paul Catholic School for many years. As a dedicated Girl Scout Troop leader, Trish made a positive impact on many girls' lives. Additionally, Trish was devoted to Lauren and Victoria's dance education at Pensacola School of Ballet, piano contests, she supported their activities for JROTC, Key Club, Space Camp and more recently, she cheered Lauren on as she participated in triathlons. Mrs. Glass worked for the Naval Operational Medical Institute as a Technology Security Manager and Procurement Analyst for over two decades. As a final act of love, Trish donated her corneas to provide the gift of sight for someone in need. Trish is survived by her loving husband, David N. Glass, CAPT USNR (Ret); her beloved daughter, Lauren Glass; her father Clarence (Liz) Taff, CAPT USN (Ret) of Camarillo, CA; her devoted mother and father-in-law, Shirlee and H.J. Glass, II, CDR, USNR (Ret) of Centennial, CO; brother, Clarence O. (Emma) Taff, III of Spokane, WA; sisters-in-law Stacie Evans, Lise (Richard) Seedroff and Laure (Scott) Levin, all of CO; and, nieces and nephews Adam, Amy, Noa and Levi Blann; Mandy and Brad Blann; Kerri and Jeff Evans; Kristina and Ivan Martinez; Reid, Rachel and Rebecca Levin; and, Cody and Jessie Taff. Trish is preceded in death by beloved daughters Victoria and Katherine; her mother, Geraldine Mankamyer Taff; and her brother, Richard Taff. Family will receive friends from 1:00pm until a Memorial Service that will begin at 2:00pm, Friday, October 25, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
