Patricia J. Hansen, 76, of Pensacola died Monday, March 7, 2016. Born in Gulfport, MS she was a longtime resident of Pensacola and member of Olive Baptist Church. Pat graduated from Pensacola High School in 1958. Soon after graduation, she was crowned Miss Northwest Florida.

She received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Pensacola Junior College in 1972. During her 30 year nursing career, Pat worked at Escambia General Hospital, West Florida Hospital and Sacred Heart Hospital, where she was a Critical Care nurse for over 20 years until her retirement in 2002.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Dorothy Thames; brother, Skip Thames and recently her daughter, Tamara Lynn Hansen.

Pat is survived by a sister, Bettye Galyean; brother, Dean (Kitty)Thames and a nephew, Michael (Syble) Moore.

To honor her wishes, a Seaside Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 5:30pm near Portofino Condominiums on Pensacola Beach. At that time her ashes, along with those of her daughter, will be scattered into the Gulf.

A grateful thank-you to Dr. Wagner and all the doctors and staff at Sacred Heart Cancer Center, Sacred Heart Progressive Care Unit and all the personnel at Joyce Goldenberg Inpatient Hospice Residence.
