Patricia "PJ" Hughes, age 52, of Pensacola, went home to be the Lord on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.

PJ was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to Juanita Kimm and the late James P. Sherritt on July 15, 1970. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her stepfather, Neal E. Kimm, Jr; friends, Janet Woods, Nikki, and countless other family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her loving mother, Juanita R. Kimm (Daniel R. Nickols), of Pensacola; her step-mother, Barbara Sherritt, of Franklin, TN; her beloved furry babies, Mooshi, Pearl, and her turtle, Herman; her three sisters, Michelle Roberts (John), Jamie Gray (Chris) and Linzy Sherritt; several nieces and nephews also survive and the special loves of her life, Andrew and Lyla Gray.

PJ was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by many. She received her bachelor's degree in biology from Middle Tennessee University. For several years she was employed at Peg Leg Pete's as the Kitchen Supervisor where she was adored by all. PJ always got things done, she had a strong work ethic, she could do anything she put her mind to. She was a loyal and honest person. She enjoyed being the life of the party, and always made sure everyone was having a good time. She adored her cats, Mooshi and Pearl and her turtle Herman, she treated them like her children. PJ loved the water, her backyard with her pool was her paradise.
