Obituary

Patricia A. Kaderly, 78, third born of 10 children, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 8, 2022.

Pat was born on October 27, 1943, in Memphis, TN. She had wonderful parents who helped her overcome Polio at age 2, provided her with a Catholic education through nurse's training, and encouraged her through Girl Scouting. She earned her 3-year diploma as a Registered Nurse from St. Joseph Hospital in Memphis, TN. Becoming a Registered Nurse gave her the opportunity to express compassion for all. Soon after, she married her sweetheart Ron, in 1964. Her proudest family moments were the births of her children and then in turn witnessing births of her grandchildren. She always said, God truly blessed her with a wonderful family. She was an excellent mother! She worked as a hospital floor nurse, a private duty nurse, a dialysis nurse, and finally as the Nursing Supervisor at Northwest Florida Blood Center in 1981. In 1983, Pat became totally disabled from Post Polio Syndrome and turned all her attention to her family. She also volunteered with the church youth groups and with Covenant Hospice of Northwest Florida. She belonged to a Polio support group.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Elizabeth and Edwin Thompson; three brothers, Finis Thompson, Michael Thompson, and Christopher Thompson; one sister, Ginny Jones; as well as her son, Ronald C. Kaderly, Jr..

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ron; her children, Mary Badtke (Jim), Stephen  Kaderly (Traci), Kimberly Frederick (William) and daughter-in-law, Melissa Merritt; her 8 grandchildren, Ryan Kaderly (Jessica), Zack Kaderly (Taylor), Courtney Jordan (Bryant), Ben Kaderly (Lauryn), Brooke Williams (Nick), Matthew Badtke, Becca Frederick and Katelyn Badtke; her 4 great grandchildren, Clark Kaderly, Juliette Kaderly, Felix Kaderly and Mia Williams; her one brother, Edwin Thompson Jr. and four sisters, June Myers, Margee Pitts, Elizabeth Taylor, and Shirley Goodman.
