Elizabeth Patricia Sonnen passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in Pensacola at the age of 64. The loss of Patti has been a massive shock to everyone she has touched over the years.

Patti was born in Scotland on January 17, 1959. Her family moved to South Africa, and this is where she met Derek Sonnen at the age of 16. While living in South Africa they raised their two children, Warren, and Mandy. Eventually the Sonnen family immigrated to the USA 30 years ago.

Patti was always very active and enjoyed pushing her limits whenever she could. From playing netball in her college days to finishing multiple Ironman's and hiking Half Dome in Yosemite. But her greatest achievement was always being the center and the glue for her family. No matter the challenges, she always made sure her family was safe, loved and never had to fear anything.

Everyone she met would agree that she never tired and never stopped giving. Patti had a special spark in her that everyone felt. If you spent time with her, you left feeling like family, and she always made time for everyone. Somehow, she ran multiple businesses, raised a strong family, and always had time for her grandkids. Patti loved her grandkids, Taylor, Sienna, Sydney, Saige, and her soon-to-be-born grandson, Jack more than we could ever know.

A memorial visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the memorial service begins at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.
