Paula Ann Jula, age 64, of Pensacola died on Friday, July 29, 2011 of cancer. Paula was born on August 17, 1946, in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Florida State University, and later completed paralegal training at Pensacola Junior College. After working in banking and in law, Paula found her true calling as a certified peer specialist at Lakeview Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Captain Paul N. Jula and Anna Vernak Jula. Paula is survived by her sister, Melanie Jula Sakoda (Gregg) of Moraga, CA, her niece, Katherine T. Sakoda of San Francisco, CA, and her nephew, Michael K. Sakoda, also of Moraga. The family would like to give special thanks to Paulas wonderful friends who made it possible for her to receive hospice care in her own home during her final months. A Memorial Service officiated by Father Eugene Pathe will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Emerald Coast Hospice or to the National Alliance on Mental Illness. HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
