Our Lord received a precious angel on Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Pauline Polly Marjorie Ware Rogers was called home to be with her savior. Polly was born in Dublin, GA on June 16, 1948 and has resided in Pensacola, FL since 1980. Polly graduated from Dublin High School in Dublin, GA on May 13, 1966 where she loved her fighting Irish. Polly achieved many honors and awards including being named wittiest and most school spirited. Polly then attended college to pursue her true passion teaching. She earned her Master of Education Degree from Georgia College on August 16, 1975. Polly and her family moved to Pensacola in 1980. She pursued her teaching career here in Pensacola, teaching at various schools such as Workman Middle, Tate High School, Brown Barge Middle, Wedgewood Middle, Pensacola State College and Woodham Middle, for a combined total of 42 years of teaching. Polly retired a couple of months before passing not by choice. She loved her students and they loved her. Polly was especially proud of her track teams boys that went to state. She could not go anywhere without a former or present student running up to hug her neck and ask how she was, she loved each and every one of you. Polly was preceded in death by her father, David Franklin Ware; mother, Virginia Pierce Ware; brothers, Weldon Gossett and Darwin Gossett. Polly is survived by her loving children, Amy Wolfenden (David), David Rogers (Kelly) and Laura Josey; her most special grandchildren which were the apple of her eye Hunter, Hannah and Chandler Rogers, Belle and Cameron Wolfenden and Davis Josey; sisters Becky Franks (Steve), Debbie Humphries (George) and Eve Faircloth (Mike), numerous nieces and nephews. Polly also leaves behind a lifetime of friends. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, December 23, 2011 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Pastor Brian Calhoun officiating. Visitation will follow the services until 4:00pm. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Dublin Memorial Gardens in Dublin, GA. As Momma and Mimi said, Remember you are a reflection of me " make it shine!! Lets not forget her Georgia Bulldogs GO DAWGS!! In remembrance of Polly come celebrate her life wearing red and black.
