Pearl P. Holley, 95, of Pensacola, FL left this world peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2014. She was born on May 5, 1919 in Shreveport, LA to George Ernest and Amanda Pearl Peterson. She loved the Lord and served Him faithfully during her various moves to several states throughout her marriage. Her special joy was teaching children as a Sunday school teacher and as a mentor in the classroom. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Leon Hodges Holley; her son, Winston Hodges Holley and her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Maxwell and Ernestine Shively. Following the death of her husband in 1998, she moved to Pensacola to be near her daughter, Sandra Stokes and her son-in-law, Charles W. Stokes who survive her. In addition, she is also survived by her special daughter-in-law, Tanya Holley of Shreveport; her three grandsons and six great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, June 13, 2014 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Hugh Hamilton officiating.
