Marion "Penny" Nass, age 87, joined the Lord's heavenly choir on Sunday, November 21, 2021 in Pensacola, FL.
Penny was born on November 16, 1934 to the late Ralph and Ruth Davis Piner in Miami, FL. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty three years, Glenn E. Nass, who passed in 2010.
Penny was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was a devoted member of Olive Baptist Church. She graduated from Miami Edison High School where she played the flute and the piccolo in the high school band. In addition to her family Penny's greatest passion in life was music. At the early age of nine she discovered her God-given gift of singing and for seventy years Penny blessed everyone with her beautiful voice. She sang solos and was a proud member of her church choir. She additionally loved to perform in Community Theater productions. Penny also lifted her voice to the heavens singing at hundreds of weddings though out the years. Her beautiful lyric soprano voice was one of her greatest gifts in life, and her spirit shined bright and she was most alive when she used this wonderful gift for others.
