Priscilla Ann (McLemore) Myers, 80, of Moulton, AL, passed away the morning of January 12, 2021, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL, surrounded by her family.
Priscilla was born on November 8, 1940 in Moulton, AL. She was the daughter of James H. and Tott Chandler McLemore. In 1959, she graduated from Lawrence County High School. Priscilla married Kenneth Gary Myers Sr. in Cherokee County, AL on September 4, 1959. Her husband Kenneth recalls her as "the prettiest girl I ever saw". They have resided in Pensacola, FL since 1972.
Priscilla worked at the Boy Scouts of America in Pensacola, FL, then moved on to The University of West Florida to the Small Business Development Center and retired in 2003 as an Office Manager in the Department of Secondary Education.
Priscilla was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pensacola since 1972. She enjoyed going to church with her husband and children. She had a heart that beat for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Priscilla loved being in her garden, spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, and reading. Priscilla and her husband spent many years traveling to Tuscaloosa, AL cheering on their beloved Alabama Crimson Tide with their best friends Billy and Wanda Howell, and Billy and Jane Rains. Priscilla also loved to have Girls Nights with her best friends Mavis Rosetti, Judie Ezell, Sharron Schreiber, Rachel Evers, Kathy Mattes and Geri Savage.
Priscilla is preceded in death by her parents, James H. and Tott Chandler McLemore; sister, Bonita; her favorite child, Kenneth Gary Myers Jr.; as well as son-in-law, Steve Drain.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Kenneth Gary Myers Sr.; her daughters, Lea Drain of Pensacola, FL, Susan Gunter (Lee) of Pensacola, FL; sister, Wanda McLemore Reed of Huntsville, AL; brother-in-law, Frederick Myers of Pensacola, FL; her precious grandchildren, Tyler Drain of Pensacola, FL, Ellie Gilley (Kyle) of Atlanta, GA, Kenleigh Gibney (Kolby) of Foley, AL, SaraGrace Gunter of Pensacola, FL, Kristin Gunter of Mobile, AL, and Baily Stringfellow of Foley, AL; her four great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joys, Kolson and Everleigh Gibney of Foley, AL and Claire and Baby Girl Gilley of Atlanta, GA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held 10:30am until the Funeral Service to begin at 11:00am Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Dr. Dave Snyder officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Society of Pensacola, National Down Syndrome Society, or First Baptist Church of Pensacola.
