Obituary

Ramon "Butch" A. Paulsen, 75 went home Wednesday, September 7, 2016, after battling Parkinson's disease with dementia.

He leaves behind his three daughters, Theresa James (Clark), Tammy Salter (Dennis), and Cindy Le Brun; his grandchildren, Alicia James (Hunter), Joseph James (Mallory), Heather James, and Dalton Salter; Great grandchildren, Hannah Gowen, Michael James and one on the way. Butch also leaves behind his two sisters, Louise Meridith (Pensacola) and Carole Roeder (Bob) of Iowa, as well as many, many nieces and nephews and a very special care giver, friend and honorary "daughter", Karen Lindsey.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jackson Leonard and Lou Ella Paulsen, and his dearly beloved wife, Nancy Chalker Paulsen.

Butch served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1960-1963; Okinawa Japan, Wichita, Kansas and California where he would often travel to Colorado to enjoy snow skiing. Butch was retired from West Lake PVC (formerly Air Products) and Manheim Auto in Pensacola. He dearly loved the outdoors and enjoyed many days and nights on the water fishing. He took his family to beaches, piers, campgrounds and lakes for fishing and family time together. Butch was strong in his faith and did his service as a Deacon and went on mission trips to Costa Rica, Panama, and Indonesia.

Visitation will be held 5-7pm Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am Monday, September 12, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors alongside his wife. Reverend Stan Jones will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Clark James, Dennis Salter, Hunter Gowens, Joseph James, Dalton Salter and Chris Echele.
