Randall L. Williams, 83, of Pensacola, FL passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014. Randy earned his Bachelor's degree from Tulane University, his Masters degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his PhD from the University of New Mexico. He proudly served his country as a Naval Aviator during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He ultimately retired after 32 years of service as Captain. Randy worked as Director of Development at Tarleton State University, University of West Florida, Sacred Heart Hospital, and IHMC. He was an avid golfer, tennis player, fisherman and skier. He also was very active in church activities. Randy was a loyal member of The Rotary Club of Pensacola for over 20 years. He is preceded in death by his father, Reuben Williams and mother, Leta Harris Williams. Survivors include his loving wife, Mary W. Williams; children, Leta Barksdale (Woody) of Kingwood, TX, Dina Butler (Steven) of Fayatteville, AR, Russell Williams of Shreveport, LA, Michael S. Williams of Raleigh, NC and Catherine M. Williams of Jacksonville, FL; and his grandchildren, Rebecca and Diana Barksdale. Visitation will be held 10:30am until the Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:30am Monday, January 20, 2014 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with main celebrant, Fr. Nicholas Schumm, pastor and Homilist and con-celebrant, Msgr. John T. Cassidy. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors.
