Rebecca Hewis, 74, of Pensacola, FL passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015. She was born on April 30, 1940 in Harriman, TN. She was voted "Lioness of the Year" by the Merrimack, NH Lioness Club and was a self taught artist that worked in water colors. She is preceded in death by her son, Ronald Boggs of Detroit, MI. Survivors include her loving husband, Stanley Hewis; sister, Barbara McCarty of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Melissa Boggs & Dougie Boggs of Nashua, NH; great-grandchildren, James and Elena of Nashua, NH; also her sisters-in-law, Eleanor White and Clara Hewis of Pensacola, FL; as well as many nieces and nephews in Texas, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Florida. Memorial Service will be held 11:00am Monday, February 9, 2015 at Holy Cross Episcopal Church. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at West Florida Hospital ICU for their kindness and professionalism.
