Obituary

Rebecca L. Bruner, 64, of Irvington, AL, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023, in a local hospital following a brief illness.

Becky was born on July 11, 1959, in Mobile, AL to Moise M. and Evangeline Landry (nee White). A 1980 graduate of the University of Alabama, she moved to Atlanta, GA to begin a career as a computer programming specialist. In May 1983, she married her lifelong partner, Albert K. Bruner. Their son, Karl P. "Kip" Bruner was born May 29, 1997. After retirement, the Bruners returned to Mobile to live.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Moise M. "Pat" Landry and Eva White Landry.

She is survived by her husband, Bert; her son, Kip; sisters, Pattilynn Landry, and Leigh Ann Phelps (Fred); brother, Michael Landry (Sara); uncle, Charles R. Landry; her mother and father in-law, Peggy and Al Bruner; sisters-in-law, Linda Enfinger (Floyd) and Cathi Mathews (Richard); brother-in-law, Richard Bruner (Cynthia); as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held 9:30am - 10:30am Friday, August 25, 2023, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A Committal Service will be held 11:00am Friday, August 25, 2023, at Bayview Memorial Park, Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, with Rev. Dan Baughman officiating.
