Renee Delores Lintz Hoffman, 85, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015. She was the wife of the late George Earl Hoffman, Jr., a retired Air Force Colonel. Renee was one of six children of the late Esme Crosby and Edgar Day Lintz, Sr. She was born on March 24, 1930 in Warrington, FL. Renee grew up on Bayou Grande and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She graduated from Pensacola Catholic High School, Class of 1948, where she was a cheerleader and an avid fan and supporter of the Catholic High Crusader Football Team. Following graduation Renee was employed for many years by Southern Bell Telephone Company, including a period in Gainesville, FL, while her then husband, William Frye, III attended law school. Following his graduation they returned to Pensacola. Renee is preceded in death by her sisters, Marian Lintz Langston, Beverly Lintz Gonynor and Anna Lintz Smith; as well as her brother, Lester C. Lintz. Survivors include her brother, Edgar Day Lintz, Jr. (Shirley); sister-in-law, Jacquelyn Lintz; as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00am Monday, November 16, 2015 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Private family burial will be at Barrancas National Cemetery.
