Richard J. Bresette, 81, of Navarre, FL passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 after a short illness.

Richard was born to Edward and Ella Bresette on May 10, 1936 in Ladysmith, WI, the youngest of six boys. He worked as an equipment operator and truck driver most of his life, but his real talent was his ability to fix or build anything. Although he worked hard his entire life to support his family, he thought his greatest accomplishment was all the family and friends he brought together throughout the years. He was a proud member of the Lake Superior Band of Chippewa Indians, and throughout his later years in Florida, he missed his family and many friends that live in the Bayfield/Red Cliff area.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Eileen (nee Schaefer); five brothers and his parents.

He is survived by his sons, Ellie Bresette and Jay Schaefer; daughters, Mary Ostrander and Sheri Pitroski and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Mark and Carol Streets for all the help and assistance they gave him throughout the years after the passing of his wife.

At a later date to be determined, there will be a Memorial ceremony held in Raspberry Bay. It was his desire to have his ashes, along with his wife's, spread on the land he loved.
