Richard Paul Ford, 77, of Pensacola, FL, died Saturday, December 27, 2014. Dick was born September 20, 1937 in Haverhill, MA the son of Edward Joseph Ford and Anne Edith (Newman) Ford McKay. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and attended both the U.S. Naval Academy Prep School and the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, MD. He served in the U.S. Navy until 1973 and continued Naval Reserve service until 1984. He was employed at Mankato State University, Mankato, MN and the U.S. Government in Washington, DC; Pensacola, FL and Newport, RI. Mr. Ford is survived by his loving wife, Jeannette; son, Michael Ford (Melissa Viars) and granddaughter Kinsley of Orlando, FL; daughter, Kelly Best (Joseph) of Front Royal, VA and grandchildren Sean, Kevin and Nolan, and great-grandchildren, Emma and Ian; daughter, Carolyn Ford (Julie Munro) of London, Ontario; daughter Lisa Eberlein and grandchildren, Ford and Stella of Denver, CO; daughter, Susan Manchester and grandchildren, James, Troy and Maya of Niskayuna, NY. He is also survived by his sister, Pamela Stavros, of Haverhill, MA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 from 10:00-11:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow with full military honors at Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN or St. Paul Catholic Church, Pensacola, FL.
