Richard Joseph Prusa, 60, of Pensacola, FL passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015. Richard was born on May 4, 1955 in Chicago, IL. He received his Bachelors Degree from Illinois Institute of Technology and his Masters Degree from the University of West Florida. Richard was a Chemical Engineer with the Department of Environmental Protection for 30 years. He was a wonderful husband and father and will be terribly missed! Richard is survived by his wife of 16 years, Maria; children, Alyson, Emma, Ella and step-son, William Coxwell; also his parents, Richard Peter Prusa, Sr. and Rosemarie Koutny Prusa. Memorial Service will be held 1:00pm Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Fr. Tom Koyickal officiating. Reception in remembrance of Richard will follow at 2:00pm at Upward Church, 9859 N. Davis Hwy., Pensacola, FL 32514. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Upward Church, Pensacola, FL or the American Cancer Society.
