Richard W. Langford, 79, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

Richard was born in 1947 to Bedford and Gladys Langford in Pensacola, FL. For his entire career, Richard was a manufacturing sales representative in the southeast for various furniture and appliance industries. During his career he traveled extensively covering the four states of Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Northwest Florida. After retirement, Richard enjoyed working part-time with several close friends at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. He appreciated the relationship with Harper-Morris.

Richard's distinct personality offered him a full life filled with many friends. His sense of humor was heard wherever he went. He was active in several organizations, both social and civic to included but not limited to Krewe of Lafitte, Hadji Shrine Temple and Myrtle Grove Masonic Lodge # 352. Richard was an avid outdoorsman who particularly enjoyed hunting and fishing. Through hunting and fishing he and his son shared some of their fondest memories together. He was also a dedicated Alabama Football supporter whether attending games with his son or in other social settings with friends.

He and his sister shared a special bond throughout their lives, often filled with compassion and caring for one another.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Dabney Lea Langford.

Survivors include his son, Thaxton Langford (Maria Lazzaro); his sister, Christy Langford; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
