Beloved son, brother, and friend to many, Ricky Edward Anderson departed this Earth at 5:42 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Ricky passed, surrounded by friends and family, at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, FL, at the age of 32.

Ricky was born on September 1, 1992, in Las Vegas, NV, to Nova Navalta Anderson and Vincent Edward Anderson. After graduating from Fort Walton Beach High School in 2010, he went on to study Criminal Justice at the University of West Florida.

When Ricky wasn't busy putting smiles on people's faces from behind the bar, he spent his time with friends out on the water, enjoying new foods, and celebrating at the local establishments that had come to love him. He quickly made a name for himself as a renowned bartender in the greater Pensacola restaurant scene. Ricky was always pushing his limits and bettering himself by learning new trades. He spent time learning cabinetry, boat repair, and all about cars that go fast.

Ricky had one of the biggest hearts, and he always put his friends and family before himself. His selflessness will remain a standout quality to all who came into contact with him. He was a big brother not only to his family, but to all those he cared for. Ricky always had others' best interests in mind.

Ricky was a ray of light, always having a remarkably positive outlook, with a sense of humor unmatched and a smile contagious. If there was one thing Ricky would want us to take away from this experience, it would be to take care of yourself before tending to others. If Ricky was still with us, he would tell us all that "everything will be okay" and urge us to focus on the things about him that made us smile.

Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Vincent Edward Anderson; his grandfather, Gus Edward Anderson; and his uncle, Mark Anthony Anderson.

He is survived by his mother, Nova Navalta; his three siblings, Vance Anderson, Aubrey Anderson, and Caitria Navalta; and his grandmothers, Juanita Navalta and Teresita Anderson.

A celebration of life will be held 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at The Fish House, 600 S. Barracks St., Pensacola, FL 32502. We invite you to join us in celebrating Ricky's amazing life and the special memories that he left behind.
