Richard Brian Eggart, 51, loving father, son, and brother passed away Friday, March 7, 2025.

All those who loved him well knew him as, "Ricky." With a sense of humor that would keep you laughing and a heart that was always open to help, Ricky never met a stranger and took care of everyone like family. His favorite times were spent with his family, friends, or on a riverbank with a fishing pole in hand.

Ricky attended Pace High School and earned a degree in computer engineering from the University of West Florida. He could successfully solve any challenge that was brought to him and succeeded in so many things. However, he would say his greatest accomplishment was found in his son, Jacob. Jacob was the light of his life and his reason for pushing forward each day. Ricky was a wonderful father to Jacob and partner to Christy. They will deeply miss his wonderful smile, quick wit, sense of humor and joy that he brought into their lives.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard and his stepfather, Bob.

Ricky is survived by his loving partner, Christy; son, Jacob; mother, Debbie; brother, Billy (Betsy, Jackson and Emma); brother, Steve (Laura, Cale (Brittany), Della, Marshall, Lilly); stepbrother, Steve (Heather, Lola, Bella); as well as uncles, aunts and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until a Memorial Service begins at 5:00pm Friday, March 14, 2025, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Steve Thomas officiating.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the doctors and nurses at HCA Florida West Hospital, Cardiac Care Unit. Your care and efforts are recognized and appreciated.
