Robert A. Bobby Tronu, Sr., 85, Pensacola native, went home to be with our Lord, Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Bobby and his wife, June, also a native of Pensacola, were married for 62 loving years where God always served as head of their home. Bobby was an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. As co-owner of Angelini Tile Company, he was a long time respected local business owner and actively involved in his community. He was passionately involved with ARC Gateway where he served for over 50 years. He was 4th degree Knight, Knights of Columbus Council 778 " First Knight of the year, past Grand Knight, State Deputy and current Advocate. He was member of Krewe of Lafitte " past president and Jean Lafitte XXXIX. He was involved with ECUA, where he served appointed and elected positions. Bobby was a WWII Navy veteran and recently participated in a WWII Honor Flight to Washington DC. Bobby is preceded in death by his son, David and his brother, Joe. He is survived by his wife, June; his children, Patricia Arrington (Randy), Robert Bob Tronu, Jr. (Donna), Larry Tronu (B J), Teresa Jansen (Ron) and Angela Carter (Larry); 21 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, Anthony Tony Tronu (Nelda); numerous loving nieces and nephews and many special friends. Bobby had a special love for people and treasured his time with his family and friends. Visitation will be held 5-7pm Friday, July 15, 2011 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Msgr. James Flaherty celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are Robert Rob Tronu, III, Larry Michael Tronu, II, Mark Jansen, Matt Carter, Roger Garrett, Donnie Cook, Michael Kristiansen and Randy Tronu. Honorary Pallbearers are David Denadel, Elige Palmer, Martin Guillot, and members of the Krewe of Lafitte and Waterfront. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the organization that was so close to Bobbys heart, ARC Gateway, 3932 N. 10th Ave, Pensacola, FL 32503.
