Robert J. Carroll, 68, peacefully passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at home in Gulf Breeze, FL surrounded by his family and loved ones.

He was born on July 29, 1949 in New York to John P. Carroll, Jr. and Agnes O'Brien Carroll. He was a 1967 graduate of Division Avenue High School in Levittown, NY. After graduation, Bob served in the Navy during the Vietnam War as a Seabee. Upon returning home, he enrolled and graduated from Suffolk Community College with a Business Degree. He retired from Federal Express where he worked as a Senior Operation Manager for over 24 years in the Tri-State area of NY, Atlanta, GA and Pensacola, FL. Bob or "Cappy" enjoyed fishing, kayaking, photography, and all things pirate.

He was preceded by his parents and older brother, John P. Carroll Ill.

Surviving him are his daughter, Jaime Carroll Gentry (Josh); his son, John P. Carroll, IV (Sandra); his grandchildren, Madison and Jack. He is also survived by his brothers, Brian Carroll (Jeannie), Daniel Carroll (Maryanne); the mother of his children, Debra Barrett Carroll and mother in law, Beverly Barrett; along with several loving in laws, and host of longtime friends.

Per his wishes, Bob will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to have known him.
