Robert "Bob" Edward Davis, Jr., 66, died on September 24, 2014 in Pensacola, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. Davis, Sr. and Norma Rose Davis. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette Cardwell Davis and 3 stepchildren; Chris (Stephanie) Lackey, Michael Lackey and Carla Lackey; 4 granddaughters, Destiny, Chaeli, Alyx and Harper. He is also survived by his brother, Frank (Johnene) Davis and nieces Hillary (Matt) Shaffer and Haley Davis. Bob was born on March 24, 1948 in Birmingham, AL. He grew up in Childersburg, AL where he graduated high school in 1966. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and the Gulf War. He served four years in the Coast Guard aboard the ship "Blackthorn" and served an additional 22 years in the Army National Guard. He spent the last 19 years of his life in Pensacola, FL where he retired from Copy Products Company in 2011. Bob spent many happy years hunting and fishing. He was an excellent Marksman and skeet shooter and a lifelong member of the "Red Eagle Gun Club" in Childersburg, AL. In 1988, he made the National Guard Olympic Marksman Team. Visitation will be at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 12:00 pm with Funeral services beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will be at 2:00pm at Barrancas National Cemetery, aboard NAS Pensacola. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Cancer Association at www.kidneycancer.org
