IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Winston
Lawson
July 15, 1947 – July 1, 2018
Robert Winston Lawson, 70, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018.
Robert was a lifelong resident of Pensacola. He was a 1965 graduate of Pensacola High School. After graduation, he attended the University of West Florida, attaining a B.S. in Marine Biology and Troy State University, attaining his M.S. in counseling.
Robert was proud to have served in the U.S. Navy. After his military career, Robert spent 30 years as a school counselor.
Family was central to Robert's life. Keeping up with Amy and Neal's families through FaceTime was the highlight of his remaining days.
Robert had many hobbies to occupy his time; fly fishing, flying R/C airplanes and boating, but none more important than his love of Amateur Radio. Robert was a Ham operator, lucky enough to possess a four digit call sign. He could be heard on the airwaves until the wee hours of the morning. He always had a story to tell about fly fishing or his days in the Navy. Robert did not know a stranger and would strike up a conversation at anytime with anyone. He will be greatly missed.
Robert Lawson, loving husband and beloved father was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia.
He is survived by his children, Amy Lawson of Grove City, OH; son, Neal Lawson (Sheena) of Orlando, FL; grandsons, Callan Kajdasz, Victor Lawson and Evan Lawson and granddaughter, Marcie Lawson.
