Robert Carlton Rosa, Sr. 82, of Pensacola, FL passed away Friday, February 1, 2019.
Mr. Rosa was born in Shandaken, NY on February 24, 1936 to Fred and Mildred (Gorsch) Rosa. He served his country for 20 years in the U S Navy retiring as Building Chief Petty Officer. After his military career he worked at Hudson Hardware here in Pensacola. His enjoyment for over 40 years was taking long walks on Johnson Beach and people watching in the malls. Some of his other enjoyments were working crosswords puzzles, watching wrestling, but his favorite was watching stock car racing especially his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. Robert had heavy foot which showed in his love for hot rods.
He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his four siblings.
Robert is survived by his loving wife for over 62 years (63 on March 1 st ), Irene Rosa; his loving children, Robert Rosa, Jr. and Susan Rosa.
A Funeral Cortege will leave Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel at 1:00pm Tuesday, February 12, 2019 for Barrancas National Cemetery where a Graveside Service will be held with full military honors. The Rev. Ken Griffin will officiate.
